Artistic Research Autumn Forum 2021

The Artistic Research Autumn Forum 2021 will be a hybrid conference with live presentations and events in Trondheim combined with online events.



Artistic Research Autumn Forum was established by the Norwegian Artistic Research Programme (NARP) as a yearly conference to promote the understanding of artistic research in a national and international perspective.
At the forum, there will be parallel sessions with presentations of projects funded by the Norwegian Artistic Research Programme, as well as presentations of research fellows projects.

Who can attend? 

Research fellows, supervisors, project managers, academic and administrative staff and others concerned with artistic research. 

Participation in five and project presentations in three Artistic Research Forums is mandatory for research fellows in the Norwegian Artistic Research School. 

Practical information

The forum is organized in cooperation with NTNU and will take place in Trondheim at Dokkhuset, NTNU Department of Music, Trondheim Academy of Fine Art and Cinemateket.

Registration is compulsory for all participants, also for fellows and project presentert.

Participation at the forum is free of charge.

All participants must book and pay for their own travel and accommodation in Trondheim. 


  • Monday 18 October at 18:00: Dinner (tapas) at Trondheim Academy of Fine Art (canteen)
  • Tuesday 19 October at 11:30: Lunch at Dokkhuset
  • Wednesday 20 October at 12:30: Lunch at Dokkhuset

The meals are free, but registration is mandatory.


Online events

The events at Dokkhuset will be streamed and available for online participants. In addition, there is an online presentation track (please see the program).

Conference app

Online participants will get access to a conference web platform and participants present in Trondheim will get access to a conference app. Here you will find the program, practical information and description of each session.
